My name is Chef T. Richards. I was born in Jamaica and grew up in the U.S. I am a professionally trained Chef, and graduated from Johnson & Wales Univ. in Miami. I truly enjoy cooking, baking and making others happy with my culinary prowess. One of my favorite delicacies is Jamaican black cake. For years my mom would bring me black cakes that different people gave her at holiday time. Some were okay and some didn't even come close to what black cake is supposed to be. They were dry, the color was off,  barely had any fruit, and had no rum taste at all.
